Before leaving Wyoming, I strolled through Sheridan. It was crowded because this is the rodeo weekend, people from everywhere. I found a great quilt shop! I can't wait to show my students the new latch hook type project! I think it's a happy middle between knitting and the actual store bought latch hook projects. The two ladies in the store suggested I stop in at the Kings Saddlery in the center of town. I guess they are a popular store for the western needs. Just around the back of the store is a park and lots of parked horse trailers. However, these horses get to have their own trailer windows open, and of course, they have their heads out to see what's going on.
Well, the driving has begun to wear on me. While Joseph wasn't answering his texts or calls, Salvador was. Lucky me! I have been trying to figure out this Navigon App Salvador got me started with last year. It's the one that talks to me, sometimes, which is helpful because i can't see that darn map without my glasses! Today I had another lesson, and I think I learned another feature? Of course, I asked for more help - how can I get the text messages recorded and sent with verbal commands - hands- free? The closest Salvador could get was Dragon Dictation. He was right, it works pretty good, but without the bluetooth. Ugh - technology!
Heading towards Montana, I spotted the Cracker Barrell restaurant Samantha and I visited when we traveled across the south. It was warm, and I was getting tired; so, I figured a cup of coffee and pie was calling me. After the break, I figured I'd try out the Navigon lesson Salvador had sent me earlier, google search for a fabric store. I needed to get some markers for my next knitting project. Luckily, there was a fabric store close by, and right next to the Rimrock which Billings is known for. It seems like it is a natural border, running along the Yellowstone Valley. You can see it here in this picture behind these houses.
While I was waiting for a signal in Billings, I spotted this sign. It looks familiar, but upon a closer look, I realized it wasn't what I had thought, Carl's Jr?
These are the beautiful views from the road.
I'm tired of driving, so off to get ready for bed.
Hugs :-)
